A 56-year-old woman was injured after falling into a well at Kampung Bata Chicha Tinggi, Pasir Mas, this morning.
The incident was reported to the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) at about 7.50am, prompting a team from the Pasir Mas Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to be dispatched to the scene.
A Kelantan JBPM spokesperson said firefighters found the woman trapped inside the well, which was estimated to be about 18 feet deep.
“The victim was successfully brought out of the well using specialised rescue equipment,” the spokesperson said.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was handed over to hospital personnel for further treatment.
The rescue operation was concluded at about 9.05am after the victim was safely removed.
