AirBorneo is offering a 20% discount on regular fares in conjunction with Aidilfitri, aiming to make it easier for families and communities across Borneo to travel home for the celebrations.
In a statement today, the full-service government-owned airline said the special fares apply to bookings made between 5 and 10 March for travel from 14 to 31 March, allowing more passengers to return home and celebrate with loved ones.
AirBorneo CEO, Megat Ardian Wira Mohd Aminuddin, said the initiative demonstrates the airline’s commitment to supporting communities across Borneo, especially during major festive seasons.
“Aidilfitri is a time for families to come together and strengthen bonds. For many communities across Borneo, air travel remains a vital link, bringing loved ones home during the festive period,” he said.
“At AirBorneo, we are committed to ensuring smooth and affordable travel, particularly for those from rural areas who rely on air connections,” he added.
Customers can book through the airline’s website, call centre, or airport ticket counters, with terms and conditions applying.
AirBorneo currently serves 21 destinations across Sarawak and Sabah, including the Rural Air Service (RAS) routes that connect remote communities reliant on air travel as their main form of transportation.
