AMK Tells Malaysians Not To Fall For Rafizi’s ‘Misleading’ Reform Claims

Date:

The public has been urged not to be swayed by what has been described as a misleading political narrative promoted by Parti Kancil leader Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, with claims that he failed to deliver on the reform agenda when he was part of the federal administration.

Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Leadership Council member Farzana Hayani said Malaysians should assess Rafizi’s current criticisms objectively, noting that he previously held a senior position in the Unity Government and had the opportunity to implement the reforms he had long championed.

She said that ahead of the 15th General Election (GE15), Rafizi introduced numerous reform proposals and policy formulas, promising meaningful changes for the country. However, she claimed many of those pledges were never effectively translated into action after he entered government.

“Today, he is attempting to position himself as a critic of the government by claiming that the reform agenda has not been implemented, even though he himself was part of the administration responsible for carrying out those policies,” she said in a statement on Monday.

Farzana argued that it was unfair for Rafizi to distance himself from responsibility by placing the blame entirely on others. She claimed his recent efforts to regain the support of Pakatan Harapan supporters by criticising the government reflected an attempt to divert attention from his own shortcomings while in office.

She added that Malaysians should judge political leaders based on their track record, achievements and the responsibilities they have carried, rather than accepting changing political narratives without strong supporting evidence.

Farzana also said PKR would continue engaging with the public to explain what it considers to be the actual facts and ensure voters are not influenced by claims it believes are misleading.

The statement reflects the views and allegations made by the AMK leader regarding Rafizi Ramli’s political performance and ongoing criticisms of the government.
