Parti Bersatu has unveiled a manifesto containing 76 initiatives under the Demi Nismilan agenda, pledging to improve employment opportunities, ease the cost of living, expand access to housing, strengthen education and enhance public welfare if entrusted to govern Negeri Sembilan.
Its president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, said the manifesto is built on nine key development pillars and was formulated after taking into account the needs of various segments of society, the state’s economic potential and the importance of preserving Negeri Sembilan’s Adat Perpatih traditions.
Among the party’s flagship promises is the creation of 50,000 high-income jobs within the next five years through the development of the Negeri Sembilan Halal Industrial Corridor, the Negeri Sembilan Logistics Corridor and high-value industries such as green energy, electric vehicles (EVs) and artificial intelligence (AI). The proposal aims to position the state as a competitive hub for future-focused industries while generating quality employment for residents.
To support small businesses, Bersatu also pledged to establish the Dana Nismilan Niaga Prihatin, a RM5 million fund that will provide interest-free microloans and digital technology training for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The initiative is intended to help local entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses and embrace digital transformation.
The manifesto further offers registered hawkers operating at local authority-owned morning markets, farmers’ markets and night markets a two-year rental exemption. In addition, selected food courts, public markets and local authority premises would enjoy a 50 per cent rental discount to help reduce operating costs for traders.
In the agricultural sector, Bersatu proposed the introduction of the Dana Tanah Produktif NS, worth RM2 million annually, to support high-value farming projects. The party also plans to establish the NS Ruminant Corridor to boost domestic beef and dairy production while strengthening the state’s agricultural industry.
To help ease the burden of rising living costs, the manifesto includes the establishment of the Gerai Nismilan Prihatin network, which would provide essential goods to the public at more affordable prices. The initiative is aimed at improving access to basic necessities, particularly for lower and middle-income households.
Education also features prominently in the manifesto, with Bersatu promising to upgrade Kolej Yayasan Negeri Sembilan (KYNS) into an internationally recognised Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution. The party also pledged to introduce the RM25 million Nismilan EduFund, a RM20 million Dana Prihatin Pendidikan, cash assistance through the Jom Poi Sekolah programme and a monthly RM50 transport allowance for 2,000 students.
Muhyiddin said the manifesto reflects Bersatu’s commitment to delivering comprehensive and people-focused policies that address the state’s long-term development while improving the quality of life for the people of Negeri Sembilan if the party is given the mandate in the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election.
