BN ‘Recycled’ Candidates Better Than PH, Says Nur Jazlan

Date:

Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates labelled as ‘recycled’ are far better compared to similar candidates fielded by Pakatan Harapan (PH), said UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed Rahmat.

He said BN candidates are experienced, influential individuals with a proven track record of serving the local community, and are capable of delivering effective service to the people.

According to him, claims that BN is merely fielding ‘recycled’ candidates are inaccurate, as selections are based on their ability to continue serving constituents.

Nur Jazlan also alleged that PH adopts a similar approach by fielding candidates who previously contested in other constituencies before being moved after a term.

He said such political shifts among opposition figures reflect a focus on political interests rather than responsibility towards voters.

He added that voters should assess candidates based on their service record and commitment to local issues, rather than labels used by opponents.

He also cited the BN candidate in Perling as an example, describing him as a local leader with 10 years of experience as a councillor and a strong commitment to serving the community.

At the same time, he argued that some PH leaders who have contested in multiple seats demonstrate inconsistent political conduct driven by personal or party interests.

Nur Jazlan made the remarks during a community engagement programme at Pangsapuri Bukit Saujana attended by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi on Sunday.
