Barisan Nasional (BN) will contest independently in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election, says party chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said the decision was made after Pakatan Harapan (PH) announced it would contest all 36 state seats in the Negeri Sembilan Legislative Assembly.
“BN will definitely move solo in Negeri Sembilan because PH has announced it will contest all 36 seats,” he told reporters.
“This means we have no choice but to contest on our own,” he added.
Ahmad Zahid made the remarks after delivering his keynote address at the Invest Malaysia Kuala Lumpur 2026 conference today.
