Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof will undergo heart bypass surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in the near future following medical advice from specialists.
The update was announced in a statement issued by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA).
His press secretary, Datuk Misiah Taib, said Fadillah’s condition is currently stable, but doctors have advised him to take complete rest to ensure a smooth treatment and recovery process.
He added that Fadillah has also been advised not to receive visitors while undergoing treatment to allow him to focus on his recovery.
“The family kindly requests the public to pray that his surgery and treatment proceed smoothly, that he is granted a full recovery, and that he will be able to return to his duties as soon as possible,” Misiah said.
The family also expressed their appreciation to everyone who has extended their prayers, support and concern during this time.
