Government Allocates RM14.4 Million BAP For Form Six Students Nationwide

Date:

A total of 96,013 Form Six students nationwide will receive the Early Schooling Aid (BAP) amounting to RM14.4 million this year, as the government continues to expand financial assistance for pre-university students.

The Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) said in a statement on Thursday that the recipients comprise 52,810 newly enrolled Form Six students who registered on June 8, while the remaining students are existing Form Six students.

Under the initiative, new Form Six students will receive RM150 each, with distribution carried out from June 28 until July 27 through 616 Form Six Centres nationwide. The assistance is aimed at helping students manage educational expenses as they continue their pre-university studies.

The ministry said the continuation of BAP distribution for newly registered Form Six students follows the government’s approval to extend the assistance scheme to Form Six students, which began in 2025.

Overall, both new and existing Form Six students will receive the aid in 2026, involving a total allocation of RM14,401,950. Financial support programmes such as this are part of broader efforts to ensure students from different backgrounds have better access to educational resources.

MOE added that the expansion of BAP to Form Six students reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to easing the financial burden faced by parents and guardians in preparing their children’s schooling needs.

The ministry also emphasised that the initiative highlights the government’s continued efforts to strengthen Form Six education as one of the country’s key pre-university pathways.
