Iranian state television has aired a disturbing video targeting US President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, with reports claiming a US$10 million (RM42 million) bounty has been placed on him.
The three-minute broadcast, reportedly circulated in Tehran, was titled “Where To Kill Barron Trump?” and claimed to reveal the 20-year-old’s movements. The programme also alleged that the New York University student was being closely monitored by the Iranian regime.
The footage reportedly featured mock-up images showing Barron being tracked around the United States, while making claims about his security arrangements. It also alleged that details involving his escort vehicles and Secret Service protection had been identified.
In another disturbing claim, the broadcast said it had uncovered Barron’s Xbox, FIFA and Discord accounts, suggesting these could be used to determine his movements. The programme further alleged that individuals close to Trump’s son were also being monitored.
The video was reportedly produced by Iranian state media linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It ended with a threatening message directed at Barron, warning that the broadcast was only the beginning.
However, the claims have not been independently verified, and US security officials had yet to publicly comment on the alleged threat at the time of the report. The broadcast comes amid continued tensions between Tehran and Washington, with Iranian state media previously issuing threats against Trump and members of his family.
Similar propaganda videos have previously targeted Trump and his wife, Melania Trump. In July, Iranian state media reportedly released a video claiming to identify locations where the US president could potentially be attacked.
The latest broadcast comes after Trump announced plans for what he described as a major economic campaign against Iran, as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.
