Their Majesties Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith Sofiah have expressed their condolences following the death of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, wife of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
In a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, Their Majesties prayed for Allah to shower mercy upon the deceased and place her among the righteous and faithful.
The King and Queen also prayed for strength, fortitude and patience to be granted to Siti Hasmah’s family as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
Siti Hasmah, who was 100, passed away at the National Heart Institute (IJN) here today.
She was the wife of Mahathir, who served as Malaysia’s prime minister for two separate periods.
