The Melaka State Legislative Assembly (DUN) will be dissolved effective tomorrow after receiving the consent of Melaka Governor Tun Dr Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam.
The dissolution was announced by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh during a press conference today.
Ab Rauf said he had met Tun Mohd Ali to seek his consent for the dissolution of the state assembly.
The move paves the way for the Melaka state election, with the Election Commission expected to determine the election timetable following the dissolution.
