Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he became India’s longest-serving elected premier, describing the achievement as a historic milestone in public service.
In a statement posted on social media today, Anwar said Modi’s accomplishment reflected years of dedicated leadership in steering India’s development, prosperity and global standing.
He said the milestone stands as a testament to Modi’s long-standing commitment to public service and governance.
Anwar also highlighted Malaysia’s close and longstanding relationship with India, noting the importance of continued cooperation between both nations.
He added that Malaysia looks forward to further strengthening bilateral ties and expanding opportunities for the benefit of both peoples.
The Prime Minister also conveyed his wishes for Modi’s continued success, as well as peace, progress and prosperity for the people of India.
