The Madani government remains committed to ensuring balanced and sustained development for Sabah and Sarawak, with a focus on improving education, healthcare access and basic infrastructure, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a Facebook post in conjunction with the Kaamatan and Gawai celebrations, Anwar said the government’s efforts aim to ensure that people in both states enjoy a better and more dignified quality of life.
He said the Kaamatan and Gawai festivals are deeply rooted in the traditions and heritage of Sabah and Sarawak communities, and are celebrated in a spirit of gratitude, unity and appreciation for the land’s blessings.
Amid Malaysia’s cultural diversity, he added that such celebrations serve as a reminder that national strength lies in harmony, mutual respect and unity within differences.
The prime minister also stressed that togetherness remains an important pillar in strengthening national cohesion and maintaining social harmony.
He extended his greetings of Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan and Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai to the people of Sabah and Sarawak.
Anwar said he hopes the celebrations will continue to bring prosperity while reinforcing unity and consensus as the foundation of Malaysia’s stability.
