Public Urged To Donate Blood As Sibu Hospitals Face Low Supplies

Date:

Members of the public are being urged to come forward and donate blood to help ensure sufficient supplies for patients in need.

In a statement, it was said that blood stocks are currently at a critical level, making public cooperation essential to meet ongoing demand, particularly at hospitals around Sibu.

“Donate blood today, because there are lives to save and families waiting for their loved ones to return home,” the statement read.

In light of the situation, residents in Kapit, Sarikei, Daro, Saratok and Kanowit are encouraged to visit the nearest blood donation centres to contribute.

The Sibu Hospital Blood Bank also expressed its appreciation to previous donors who have stepped forward to help maintain blood supplies.

“Heartfelt thanks to all donors who have come forward and helped save lives,” it said.

The public is also encouraged to share the appeal to help increase awareness and encourage more people to participate in the life-saving effort.
