The MyGOV Malaysia app has been launched as an integrated digital platform to simplify access to a wide range of government services.
With MyGOV, citizens no longer need to download multiple apps or visit numerous websites for different government-related matters.
One of the most popular features on MyGOV is Unclaimed Money (Wang Tak Dituntut, WTD).
WTD refers to funds that belong to individuals but remain unclaimed for a certain period. These can originate from bank accounts, investments, dividends, takaful, unpaid salaries, insurance, or other sources.
Users can also check traffic summonses and compounds directly via the MyGOV app.
“I received around RM60. It’s not a lot, but it’s still rezeki. I’ve seen others get RM2,000,” shared one user on social media, along with a guide on how to check WTD.
Steps to check unclaimed money via MyGOV:
- Download the MyDigital ID and MyGOV apps.
- Register an account in MyDigital ID following the in-app instructions.
- No QR code scanning is required.
- Open the MyGOV app and click ‘Log Masuk’ (Login).
- Search for ‘Wang Tak Dituntut’.
- Enter your MyKad number.
- The app will display the amount of unclaimed money.
- Click the eGUMIS link to claim the funds.
Beyond WTD, MyGOV allows users to check summonses and fines, apply for financial aid, view exam results, and access a variety of other government services.
Currently, MyGOV Malaysia offers 38 services from 13 government agencies, including both information checks and direct links to the relevant online government platforms.
