Sultan Ibrahim Grants Royal Assent To Nine Key Parliamentary Acts

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim has granted royal assent to nine bills recently passed by Parliament, officially turning them into law.

Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Mohd Nor announced the development ahead of the Minister’s Question Time session.

The legislation includes key measures such as the Insolvency (Cross-Border) Act 2025, Legal Aid and Public Defence Act 2026, Hire Purchase (Amendment) Act 2026, and Employees’ Social Security (Amendment) Act 2025.

Also receiving assent were the Skills Development Fund (Amendment) Act 2025, National Skills Development (Amendment) Act 2025, Rukun Tetangga (Amendment) Act 2025, Legal Profession (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 2025, and the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Amendment) Act 2025.

Royal assent marks the final stage for a bill passed by Parliament to become enforceable law.
