Tunku Mahkota Ismail Urges Johor Exco To Serve With Integrity

Date:

The Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, has reminded newly appointed Johor State Executive Council (Exco) members to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, integrity and sincerity for the well-being of the people and the progress of the state.

His Royal Highness said every policy and decision made by the Exco members must always prioritise the interests of the people while bringing positive impact to Johor as a whole.

The Regent also stressed that all Exco members should remain close to the people by frequently going to the ground to understand the needs and challenges faced by the community.

At the same time, His Royal Highness called for government services to be further strengthened by ensuring they are delivered efficiently, effectively and with integrity.

The reminder was delivered after the Johor State Executive Council Appointment and Oath of Allegiance Ceremony held at the Balai Mengadap, Istana Bukit Serene, here today.

Earlier, 10 Johor Exco members took their oath of office before the Regent of Johor after receiving His Royal Highness’ approval.

The ceremony was witnessed by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

Also present were Johor Royal Council President Datuk Dr Rahim Ramli and Johor State Secretary Datuk Mohammed Ridha Abd Kadir.

The new Exco line-up consists of six existing members who were retained and four new faces following Barisan Nasional’s victory in forming the state government during the Johor state election.
