JDT Fever Hits Capital As 30,000 Fans Expected At Malaysia Cup Final

Date:

A total of 110 buses were deployed to transport Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) supporters to the National Stadium Bukit Jalil for the Malaysia Cup final clash between JDT and Kuching City FC tonight.

Johor Football Supporters Club (KBJDT) vice president, Mohd Fadzli Sapie, said fans showed strong enthusiasm across all age groups, with many willing to travel to the capital to support their team.

“Every year, the atmosphere is vibrant when JDT reaches the final. We travel together by bus to Kuala Lumpur, and we expect more than 30,000 Harimau Selatan supporters to be at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil this time,” he said when met at Stadium Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Hassan Yunos, Larkin, on Saturday.

He added that supporters from Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and other states are also expected to turn up in large numbers.

He said early preparations were made once JDT confirmed their place in the final, including bus coordination and safety arrangements to ensure smooth travel for fans.

Meanwhile, supporter Zalikha Ibrahim, 47, said she and her family were excited to watch the Malaysia Cup final live at Bukit Jalil for the first time.

“This is our first time watching the Malaysia Cup final live at Bukit Jalil. The children are very excited to experience the stadium atmosphere,” she said, adding she believes JDT will win 3-1.

Another loyal fan, Ahmad Khamal Yusof, 50, said he has attended more than five finals involving the Southern Tigers and remains committed to supporting the team.

“If JDT reaches the final, I will always be there. We hope they can lift the Malaysia Cup again,” he said.
