Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen secured his maiden Formula One (F1) Singapore Grand Prix victory on Sunday, claiming his second consecutive win of the season and the 73rd of his career at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
The Dutch driver continued his winning momentum after triumphing at last week’s Bahrain Grand Prix, held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) in Malaysia.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished second, while Mercedes driver and championship leader Kimi Antonelli completed the podium in third place.
The Singapore victory marked Verstappen’s second win of the 2026 season, coming during his 250th F1 Grand Prix weekend.
The result lifted Verstappen to fourth in the drivers’ championship standings with 221 points, while Antonelli maintained his lead with 340 points.
Verstappen said the victory came at the right time after a strong performance on the demanding street circuit.
“We had the pace we needed and had to make the most of it on the soft and medium tyres, although I think the medium tyres were quite difficult for everyone.
“Everything went smoothly, and of course, I’m very happy to win here,” he said in a post-race interview.
He added that Red Bull Racing had been performing well over the past few races and remained motivated to secure stronger results in the remaining rounds of the season.
“The team is made up of a great group of people. I really enjoy working with them, and hopefully we can continue to enjoy more success through to the end of the year,” he said.
