Google has introduced a new feature for its Gemini platform that allows users to create and download files directly, removing the need for previous workarounds such as exporting content to Google Docs.
The update enables users to generate a wide range of file formats within Gemini itself, including documents, spreadsheets, and PDFs, according to Google.

With the new capability, users can create files compatible with Google Workspace applications such as Drive, Docs, and Sheets, as well as download formats including .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .csv, LaTeX, plain text (TXT), rich text format (RTF), and Markdown (MD).
Google said the feature is available to all Gemini users and is designed to streamline productivity by allowing seamless file creation within the AI platform.
The move is expected to improve workflow efficiency by reducing the steps required to transfer AI-generated content into usable document formats.
