iPhone 18 Pro Colour Rumours: ‘Deep Cherry’ Tipped As New Flagship Colour

Date:

As 2026 approaches, fresh rumours surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro colour lineup have sparked widespread discussion, with reports suggesting Apple is testing several new finishes for its next-generation flagship device.

According to Macworld, sources familiar with Apple’s supply chain claim that four prototype colours are currently under evaluation, with “Deep Cherry” emerging as a potential new hero shade expected to define the device’s visual identity.

The report notes that Apple’s previous model, the iPhone 17 Pro, featured the bold “Cosmic Orange”, which marked a departure from the company’s traditionally muted aesthetic. However, the upcoming design direction appears to shift back towards a more refined and elegant tone.

The alleged Deep Cherry colour is described as a rich, wine-like red with subtle purple undertones, reportedly listed under Pantone 6076. The shade is said to offer a more layered and premium appearance compared to recent brighter finishes.

In addition to Deep Cherry, three other colours are reportedly being tested internally. A light blue variant is said to resemble the soft, frosted blue seen on the standard iPhone 17, offering a more refreshing and understated look.

Meanwhile, darker grey and silver options are also under consideration, continuing Apple’s long-standing tradition of classic, neutral finishes aimed at users who prefer minimalist styling. All four colours are believed to be undergoing final evaluation stages.

Separately, reports also suggest Apple is developing its first foldable iPhone, which may be branded as the iPhone Ultra. The device is rumoured to measure just 4.7mm when unfolded, positioning it as an ultra-thin form factor comparable to a compact iPad mini.

Colour options for the foldable model are said to include a business-focused deep indigo and a clean silver-white finish, signalling Apple’s intention to position the device in the premium segment of the foldable market.

However, sources caution that the iPhone 18 Pro series is still in development, meaning final design and colour choices could change before mass production. As with previous launches, Apple may still adjust saturation levels or even drop certain test colours ahead of its official autumn unveiling.
