Malaysia Launches Real-Time Global Supply Crisis Monitoring Dashboard

Date:

The Ministry of Economy, in collaboration with the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), has introduced a new digital platform aimed at tracking the impact of global supply disruptions on Malaysia’s economy in near real time.

Known as the Global Supply Crisis Monitoring Dashboard, the system is a fully integrated tool designed to monitor economic spillover effects from global shocks, including changes in energy prices, trade movements and supply chain pressures, according to a joint statement by both agencies.

The dashboard offers a range of up-to-date economic indicators, such as cost-of-living trends, commodity and global market price fluctuations, as well as analyses of Malaysia’s trade performance and broader economic conditions.

Key data available on the platform includes daily crude oil spot prices in US dollars per barrel, which serve as an indicator of global energy trends that could influence fuel prices, subsidy pressures and supply stability.

It also provides a petroleum trade summary detailing Malaysia’s sector performance alongside global supply chain developments, with the latest data covering February to March 2026.

The platform is intended for policymakers, businesses and the public, providing near real-time insights to support early intervention, strengthen supply resilience and aid informed decision-making during periods of global uncertainty.

The government said the initiative reflects its commitment to data-driven policy, improved transparency and more effective economic planning.

The dashboard is accessible via https://pantaukrisis.gov.my/ or through a QR code provided in the official announcement.
