A delivery rider has sparked public outrage after CCTV footage allegedly showed him urinating directly in front of a lift at a residential flat in Cheras.
The incident, which took place on Nov 19 at around 2.10pm, quickly went viral following a Facebook post that shared the footage and criticised the rider’s behaviour.
According to the post, the rider had just completed a food delivery when he walked toward the corridor near the lift and proceeded to urinate at the lift entrance.
“Does he think this is a public toilet? Absolutely no civic consciousness!” the complainant wrote, expressing frustration.
The complainant also highlighted that residents had recently put in effort to repaint and decorate the corridor, only for the area to be disrespected in such a manner. They added that such actions could contribute to frequent lift malfunctions.
The footage has since drawn widespread criticism from netizens, many calling for accountability and better public hygiene standards.
