Two companies, RR Beaute Solution Sdn Bhd and CTA Training Academy Sdn Bhd, pleaded not guilty today at the sessions court for allegedly operating an unregistered beauty clinic on Jalan Rangoon.
The charges were read before Judge Irwan Suainbon, and both companies were represented by staff members during the proceeding.
According to the charge sheet, the businesses allegedly ran a private care clinic on October 22, 2024, at 10.15am without proper registration, a violation under Section 27 of the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998.
The offences fall under Section 4(1) of the Act and are punishable under Section 34 of the Penal Code, with potential fines of up to RM500,000 if convicted.
The case is being prosecuted by Dr Fikri Fishoul and Shamsulnizam Kassim on behalf of the Health Ministry, while lawyer V Parthipan represented the two companies.
The court has set December 22 for case management and submission of relevant documents.
FMT reports that the companies are run by a beauty influencer and her husband.
