RM10.4 Million Worth of Drugs Seized in Kajang, Three Arrested

Date:

Police have seized drugs worth RM10.4 million and arrested three individuals following a raid on a three-storey terrace house in Kajang on December 8.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the suspects — two local women and a foreign man aged between 40 and 45 — were believed to have acted as packers at the premises, which had been used as a storage facility for various types of drugs over the past three months.

During the operation, authorities confiscated 81 kilograms of assorted drugs, 1,600 cigarettes containing suspected ganja buds weighing about two kilograms, 400 beverage boxes and bottles believed to contain liquid ecstasy with a total volume of approximately 195.5 litres, as well as 1,539 packets of suspected ecstasy powder weighing around 50 kilograms. Ketamine, ecstasy pills, syabu, Eramin 5 pills, and yaba pills were also seized.

Shazeli said the raid was carried out by the Selangor Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) in collaboration with the Kajang district police headquarters, based on intelligence suggesting that the drugs were intended for distribution in the Klang Valley.

He added that the two female suspects were reportedly earning RM5,000 each, while the foreign male suspect had just started working after entering Malaysia on November 25. Police are still verifying his immigration status after discovering no fingerprint entry on his passport.

All three suspects were remanded for seven days, and the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
