Teenager Pleads Guilty to Fatal Senawang Crash That Killed Three

Date:

A 17-year-old boy changed his plea to guilty today in connection with a March accident in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan, that claimed the lives of three teenagers.

The youth appeared before Magistrate Nurul Azuin Talhah at the Seremban magistrates’ court, pleading guilty after the charges were read again during case management. Sentencing has been scheduled for February 25, pending a review of case facts and a behavioural report.

On April 22, the teenager initially pleaded not guilty to charges of driving dangerously and causing the deaths of 15-year-old Aidil Ramdan Abdullah, 16-year-old Aswari Lotpi, and 17-year-old Aisar Azim Abdullah.

The fatal incident occurred at approximately 8.30pm on March 6 along Jalan Persiaran Senawang 1, Taman Matahari Heights.

Under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, the offences carry a prison term of five to ten years and a fine between RM20,000 and RM50,000.

The accused had previously submitted a representation to the Attorney-General’s Chambers through his lawyer Johan Radzi, which was rejected.
