Body Found in Rembau Bag Confirmed as Missing Woman Suri Narudin

Date:

The woman whose body was discovered in a bag buried behind a house in Kampung Batu 4, Pedas last Thursday has been identified as 53-year-old Suri Narudin, who had been reported missing since December 8.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed the identification was made through fingerprint verification against the National Registration Department database. DNA analysis conducted by the Chemistry Department of Malaysia further confirmed a close familial match, specifically with a sibling, supporting the identification.

“Members of the public are urged not to speculate in ways that could affect the investigation. Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to contact the Rembau District Police Headquarters or the nearest police station,” Alzafny said.

The Royal Malaysia Police assured that the investigation would be carried out transparently, professionally, and in accordance with the law.

Suri was initially reported missing in Ampang, Selangor, after her aunt lodged a report at the Ampang Police Station on December 15. Following the discovery of her body, two men aged 51 and 41 were arrested to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Police previously stated that the body, found in a bag behind an unoccupied house, was believed to be that of the missing woman.
