A motorcyclist lost his right wrist after being hit by a car in an accident on Jalan Sungai Rambai, Jenjarom, on Tuesday.
Kuala Langat District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi, said the incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. and involved three vehicles: a Yamaha LC135 motorcycle, a Proton Satria, and a Toyota Vellfire.
Investigations revealed that the accident happened when the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was exiting a junction and was struck by the Proton Satria.
“As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was thrown onto the shoulder of the road, while the Proton Satria hit a road barrier, spun, and entered the opposite lane, colliding with the front of a Toyota Vellfire,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
The motorcyclist sustained a severed right wrist and injuries to his right leg and was rushed to Banting Hospital. He has undergone surgery and is reported to be in stable condition.
Both the Proton Satria and Toyota Vellfire drivers were unharmed. Checks confirmed that all parties held valid driving licenses. The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
