Hospital Staff Pay Final Tribute to Malaysian Organ Donor in Moving Farewell

Date:

A Malaysian man’s final journey became a poignant tribute to selflessness when hospital staff lined the corridors to honour his decision to become an organ donor.

The late Amirrul Mukminin bin Mohd Zain was given a solemn farewell by medical personnel at Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah in Kuala Terengganu, a moment that has since resonated with many after a video of the scene circulated online.

In the widely shared TikTok clip, Amirrul was seen being wheeled out of the ward as doctors, nurses and hospital staff stood silently along the corridor, paying their respects. The gesture symbolised gratitude for his decision to donate his organs — a final act that may save and transform multiple lives.

The quiet tribute reflected not only the sorrow felt by Amirrul’s family and friends, but also the deep respect of hospital staff who witnessed his last moments and the impact of his generosity.

Loved ones described Amirrul as a kind-hearted individual and a cherished family member. They shared that he completed his life’s journey in a noble way, departing this world as an organ donor — an opportunity not everyone is afforded.

It was also noted that Amirrul passed away on a Friday, a day considered especially blessed in Islam. His family said they are learning to accept his loss while praying that he rests in peace and is reunited with his late mother.

According to The Reporter, Amirrul’s brother-in-law also shared the moment of honour online, expressing pride in his decision to donate his organs. He said Amirrul’s final act of generosity could bring hope and life to those in need, and ended his message with prayers for Amirrul’s peace in the hereafter alongside his mother and the wider Muslim community.
