A married couple were found dead with serious injuries inside their home in Taman Mutiara, Jalan Brayun, Sri Aman, in a shocking early-morning discovery today.
The victims were identified as a 45-year-old school headmaster in Lubok Antu and his 44-year-old wife, a nurse. Their bodies were discovered by their child after the couple failed to come out of their bedroom.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said police received a report at 6.55am about two people found unconscious at the house.
Officers from the Sri Aman district police headquarters and medical staff from Sri Aman Hospital rushed to the scene, where both victims were confirmed dead.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Police said the motive and cause of death are still being determined as investigators collect evidence and record statements from witnesses.
