An elderly man was found dead beside his electric motorcycle by the roadside at Jalan Parit 4 Timur, Sungai Besar, in Sabak Bernam on Wednesday night.
Sabak Bernam police chief, Superintendent Md Yusof Ahmad, said authorities received a report of the incident at around 11.46pm.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the 67-year-old local man was likely on his way home, which is located about 50 metres from the scene,” he said.
Md Yusof added that the electric motorcycle was found next to the victim, and personal belongings, including his wallet and mobile phone kept in a sling bag, remained with him.
“Further examination of the body revealed no injuries suggesting criminal involvement. The victim only had an injury on his left hand, believed to have resulted from a fall from the electric motorcycle,” he said, noting that the case has been classified as a sudden death.
