Taiwanese Woman Drowns While Snorkelling Off Pangkor Island

A 72-year-old Taiwanese woman tragically drowned while snorkelling off Pangkor Island today. Manjung police chief Hasbullah Abd Rahman said the woman was discovered by a tour guide at around 12:30pm.

“The victim was believed to have been snorkelling at Pulau Giam alongside other family members,” Hasbullah added.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow, and the case has been classified as sudden death.
