Police Seek Help to Identify Man Found Dead Near Supermarket

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the body of an unidentified man who was found dead by the roadside near a supermarket here on Tuesday.

Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Hanyan Ramlan said no identification documents were found on the deceased, who is believed to be in his 40s based on external observation and physical features.

“We received an emergency call at about 4.30pm. We are appealing to members of the public or the deceased’s next of kin to come forward to assist with identification and further procedures,” he said.

He added that the identity and ethnicity of the deceased have yet to be determined.

The case has been classified as a sudden death.

Earlier, an 11-second video circulated on social media showing police officers directing traffic near the location where the man was reported to have collapsed close to a supermarket.
