Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the government will strengthen Bahasa Malaysia proficiency among students at all levels over the next five years.
Tabling the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) in the Dewan Rakyat today, he also affirmed that the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination will remain the main benchmark for evaluating the effectiveness of education policies, curricula, and teaching methods.
“At the same time, English will continue to be used as one of the mediums of instruction and communication, alongside expanded opportunities to learn other languages,” he said.
