An AirAsia flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger suddenly went nude, causing disruption on board.
The incident occurred on Friday as the flight was travelling from Nha Trang, Vietnam, to Bangkok, Thailand.
According to multiple media reports, a Russian-speaking man began acting strangely shortly after takeoff. He was suspected of being intoxicated and reportedly challenged several cabin crew members to a fight.
“He went to the restroom several times and appeared agitated. Some passengers tried to calm him down, but he insisted on leaving the aircraft,” the reports stated.
The man then removed his clothes and ran through the cabin, shouting that he wanted to get off the plane.
Viral footage on social media platform X showed the man wearing only pants as he attempted to open the aircraft door.
“He threatened to jump from the plane if his demand to exit was not met. Once the plane landed, he immediately leapt before the stairs were in position,” the reports added.
The man sustained injuries to his leg and was apprehended by Thai authorities as he attempted to flee the scene.
