Finance Ministry Warns Public Against Fake Ramadan Aid And E-Tunai Claims

Date:

The Finance Ministry has cautioned the public against false messages circulating on social media that claim to offer Ramadan financial assistance and E-Tunai credit applications.

In a statement, the ministry clarified that no such aid applications are currently being offered and urged Malaysians to remain vigilant against potential scams exploiting the festive season.

Members of the public have been advised not to click on suspicious links or provide personal details to unauthorised parties. The ministry stressed the importance of verifying information through its official communication channels before taking any action.

Authentic announcements and updates, it said, are available only via the ministry’s official website at www.mof.gov.my and its verified social media platforms.

The ministry also called on Malaysians to refrain from forwarding unverified messages, reminding the public to check the authenticity of information before sharing it with others.
