A simple food delivery order recently went viral in Malaysia after the reason behind a woman’s request for “extra spicy” fried rice left netizens both amused and deeply moved.
In a TikTok video posted by @fareehaameera, a screenshot showed the woman’s special request to the vendor: “Make it very spicy. I don’t want to hurt myself, so I eat spicy food instead. I’m stressed… my slippers got stolen by a dog, my house is a mess, exams are hard, my boyfriend is acting like I don’t exist.”
Though surprised by the emotional message, the food vendor decided to not only fulfill the request but also send a thoughtful note back with the delivery.
The note read: “Stay strong, okay? Maybe the dog is innocent—your slippers might’ve been on their last leg anyway. And your boyfriend? He’s probably just useless. Somewhere out there is a green-flag, handsome boyfriend waiting for you.”
The vendor also encouraged her to enjoy the meal and leave a good rating.

The heartfelt exchange quickly gained traction online, drawing a wave of support from netizens who related to the emotional weight behind the lighthearted request.
One user commented, “That line ‘I don’t want to hurt myself’ really hits hard. To everyone who’s hurting, I pray you find lasting happiness and healing.”
Another wrote, “You’ve got a unique way to cope with pain. Sending hugs.”
Some speculated that the woman chose spicy food as a way to cry without having to explain herself: “If someone sees her crying, she can just say it’s because the food is spicy.”
The moment became a touching reminder of how small gestures—whether it’s a kind reply or a very spicy meal—can go a long way in comforting someone going through a tough time.
