Couple Killed in Tragic Car Crash, Leaving Behind 7 Children

A heartbreaking accident in Kampung Paris 1 has left seven children orphaned after their parents were killed when the car they were in lost control and crashed into a tree.

The tragic incident occurred at Km 121 yesterday. The couple, both aged 34, sustained critical injuries in the crash and were pronounced dead at 3.43pm at Hospital Kinabatangan.

The driver of the vehicle, whose identity has not been disclosed, is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at the same hospital.

According to police, preliminary investigations suggest that the vehicle lost control, skidded, and slammed into a tree on the left side of the road.

The case is now being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which deals with causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

Authorities have not yet released further details on the condition of the children or their current care arrangements.
