34-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Lorry In Baling

A 34-year-old local man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a lorry at Kampung Kemangi on the Jalan Kulim-Baling-Gerik route at around 8.40pm yesterday.

Baling district police chief, Superintendent Brandon Richard Joe, said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the motorcycle was travelling from Keda Kemangi towards Masjid Kuala Kuang, while the lorry, driven by a 33-year-old local man, was heading in the same direction,” he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
