Three vehicles belonging to an individual known as Cikgu Chandra were set ablaze in an incident believed to have been carried out by a group of unidentified men early Tuesday morning.
The matter was highlighted by independent preacher Firdaus Wong Wai Hung through a post on the Threads platform.
According to Firdaus, the attack occurred at around 3am, when several masked individuals allegedly targeted the victim’s vehicles.
“Earlier this afternoon, several men wearing full face masks and armed with machetes allegedly attempted to kill Cikgu Chandra.
“Earlier this morning, at around 3am, they set all three of his cars on fire. Fortunately, the police and firefighters arrived quickly to extinguish the flames and bring the situation under control,” he said in the post on Tuesday.
The incident reportedly took place days after Cikgu Chandra’s house in Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia was attacked by a group of men who allegedly smashed the windows of his car as well as the windows of his residence.
The latest attack also follows a separate incident involving another independent preacher, Zamri Vinoth, who was reportedly assaulted by a group of men while inside his car.
Firdaus urged authorities to take swift action against those responsible, stressing that such acts should not be allowed to spread.
“We cannot allow extremists like this to act freely. This is a nation governed by the rule of law.
“Those who incite hatred and extremism must be dealt with immediately before their actions ignite greater unrest in the country,” he said.
