Two Men Injured After Perodua Myvi Ploughs Into Chinese Eatery

Date:

Two men were injured after a Perodua Myvi lost control and smashed into a Chinese restaurant in Taman Kota Jaya, Taiping, Perak on Tuesday morning.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Deputy Operations Director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said emergency services received the call at 10am, with a team from Taiping Fire Station arriving at the scene by 10.15am, around seven kilometres from the station.

“The Myvi, driven by a 69-year-old differently-abled man, reportedly crashed into the restaurant, injuring two men in their 50s inside,” he said in a statement.

Bystanders had already pulled the victims from beneath the vehicle before firefighters arrived. Both sustained injuries to their heads, legs, and arms and were handed over to the Ministry of Health (KKM) for treatment. The driver was reported unharmed.

The operation, involving seven firefighters, one fire engine, and a Fire Motorcycle Unit (RIM), was brought under control by 10.20am and concluded at 10.30am.
