A man was lightly injured after his car lost control and collided head-on with a bus along Jalan Babai in Pakan on Sunday evening.
According to Julau District Police Chief DSP Alif Haiqal Ramesh Abdullah, the accident occurred at around 6.20pm when the 55-year-old driver was travelling from Sibu towards Pakan.
The victim, who works as a school gardener, is believed to have lost control of his vehicle upon reaching the location before veering into the opposite lane and crashing into the front right side of an oncoming bus.
The impact caused significant damage to the car, but the driver only sustained minor injuries. Police confirmed that the bus driver and passengers were unharmed in the incident.
The injured motorist was later taken to Klinik Kesihatan Pakan for medical treatment following the collision.
Authorities said the case is being investigated under Rule 10 of LN 166/59 as part of ongoing inquiries into the circumstances of the crash.
