Car Flips And Slides On Wet Highway After Hitting Puddle At High Speed

Date:

A dramatic accident on a rain-soaked highway has sparked concern after a car reportedly lost control while speeding through a waterlogged stretch, flipping onto its side and sliding across the road in a terrifying sequence.

Dashcam footage shared by a netizen in a Facebook group showed the incident unfolding on a highway shortly after rainfall, when road conditions were still hazardous due to standing water.

In the video, a white car can be seen travelling at high speed along the rightmost lane before hitting a large puddle. Within seconds, the vehicle appears to experience aquaplaning, causing it to lose traction and violently tip onto its side.

Shockingly, the car did not come to an immediate stop after overturning. Instead, it continued to skid along the road on its side, propelled by momentum, before eventually coming to a halt in the middle of the highway.

Fortunately, no other vehicles were struck and the car did not crash into the road barriers, avoiding what could have been a far more serious incident. The close call has since drawn widespread attention online.

While some social media users likened the scene to a stunt from an action film, even jokingly calling it a “sideways drift”, many others criticised the driver’s reckless behaviour, pointing out that speeding on a wet road with visible puddles puts lives at serious risk.
