A TikTok video has gone viral after showing a shocking scene of a pest control operation where dozens, possibly hundreds, of cockroaches were seen emerging from a long-vacant condominium unit, leaving viewers visibly unsettled.
In the clip, a man believed to be part of a pest control team is seen stepping on large numbers of cockroaches as the insects rapidly scatter across the floor. The infestation appears to surge from within the unit following treatment work carried out by the team.
According to context shared online, the unit had reportedly been unoccupied for a long period, allowing pests to multiply inside concealed pipe channels and hidden areas. Once pest control procedures began, the insects were forced out in large numbers, resulting in the sudden and overwhelming scene captured on video.
A second clip circulating alongside the original footage shows the aftermath in the corridor outside the unit, where a significant number of dead cockroaches can be seen scattered across the floor, adding to the disturbing visuals that have since gone viral.
The videos have sparked strong reactions on social media, with many users describing the situation as “geli” and difficult to watch, while others expressed surprise at the scale of infestation that can develop in abandoned properties.
Pest control professionals note that vacant units are particularly vulnerable to severe infestations, especially when drainage systems and pipe channels provide hidden breeding grounds for insects over extended periods.
