Chinese Woman in Cabin Dispute Warns of Legal Action if Family Is Targeted Online

Date:

(Kuala Lumpur, 25th) — A Chinese woman who caused a disturbance on a Chongqing–Kuala Lumpur flight after becoming upset over the cabin crew’s inability to communicate in Chinese has stated that she will take legal action if netizens target her family online.

“Like I said, you can attack me online if you want, but do not target my family. If you do, I will use legal means to protect them,” she said.

In a video posted yesterday, she explained that she had initially planned to upload her 40-minute conversation with the police. However, due to concerns raised by the authorities that it could escalate the situation and create further negative impact, she decided to follow their advice and not release the recording.

She also mentioned that the only written statement she had signed, which was shown in her video, confirmed that the dispute between her and the Malaysian woman involved had been resolved amicably.
