Bar Goes Viral After Controversial Waitress Spit Milk Into Coffee Clip Sparks Debate

Date:

A bar in Osaka, Japan has gone viral online after a so-called “novelty service” sparked widespread debate, attracting more than 13 million views on X.

In a clip shared by the account “Takizawa Gareso,” a female staff member dressed in a school-style outfit is seen serving a black coffee to a customer. The customer then asks why there is no milk, before the waitress appears to understand and proceeds to spit a mouthful of white liquid into the drink, turning it into what resembles a latte.

The video quickly spread across social media, gaining massive attention within just 19 hours of being uploaded.

Reactions online were sharply divided. Some users criticised the act as disgusting and unhygienic, calling for authorities to investigate and potentially shut down the establishment. Others expressed strong discomfort, saying the behaviour was inappropriate and distasteful.

However, a separate group of users defended or downplayed the incident, arguing it was no different from intimate acts such as kissing, while some even joked about ordering the “service” themselves. A few commenters also suggested that Japan’s entertainment culture had become increasingly extreme in pursuit of attention.

Amid the controversy, some netizens questioned the authenticity of the footage, suggesting it could have been AI-generated or staged, possibly involving performers rather than genuine customers. Others speculated it may have been a private act between acquaintances rather than an official service offered by the bar.
