YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul has unveiled what is being described as a “legendary” UFO recording, allegedly considered one of the most compelling pieces of unidentified aerial footage ever seen.
The footage, reportedly linked to sightings near Area 51 in Nevada, was first filmed in 1995 by two college friends during a road trip. It later circulated privately among UFO researchers and was shown to documentary filmmaker James Fox before remaining unseen by the public for decades.
Paul, who travelled to Nevada after hearing about the video, allegedly attempted to purchase it for US$100,000 but was refused. He later secretly recorded part of the footage using a hidden camera, despite previously stating he would not release it publicly.
The video, shown on the American Alchemy podcast hosted by Jesse Michels, appears to show an orange glowing orb hovering in the night sky near a restricted area close to Area 51. The object reportedly illuminated the interior of a vehicle as it moved close to the witnesses.
According to Michels, the footage shows the unidentified object hovering silently and emitting a reddish-orange glow, with the witnesses heard reacting in fear as they observe the phenomenon from inside their car.
UFO researcher and former government contractor Bob Lazar reviewed the footage during the podcast and described it as “very impressive,” adding that the behaviour of the object matched other reported sightings.
Theories discussed in the programme suggest the glow could be linked to ionised atmospheric gases interacting with a plasma-like field, though no scientific verification has been confirmed.
Paul said he had previously refrained from releasing the material, claiming it was “not right” to do so, despite believing the footage could be significant in discussions about unexplained aerial phenomena.
The clip has since gone viral online, reigniting public debate over UFO sightings and claims of classified government knowledge regarding unidentified flying objects.
