Date:

Anticipation is rising for Singer 2026 as discussions about the show’s lineup continue to trend online, fuelled by growing public interest in the upcoming season of the popular music competition.

On April 27, the official Weibo account of Hunan Satellite TV’s Singer announced the recruitment of audience jury members for Singer 2026, further suggesting that the programme’s return is drawing closer, although no official contestant lineup has been revealed.

A link shared in the recruitment post shows the registration period for Episode 1 running from April 27 to May 15, indicating that filming may likely take place in mid to late May, according to industry speculation and earlier reports.

To apply as a jury member, participants must be at least 16 years old and are required to submit details including their music streaming accounts, favourite recent songs, and opinions on memorable live performances, as well as their voting criteria.

The announcement has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with fans actively suggesting potential contestants for the new season. Names such as He Jie, Jiang Yingrong and Henry Lau have frequently appeared in online comments.

Many viewers have also expressed hopes for improvements to the show format, with a recurring demand that the production team avoid unnecessary changes to the competition rules.

Meanwhile, AI-generated posters circulating online have fuelled further speculation about possible contestants, featuring artists such as Zhang Shaohan, Liu Xijun, Zhou Xingchi and Stephanie Cheng. However, none of these names have been officially confirmed by the production team.

For now, the official lineup remains under wraps, with fans continuing to await formal announcements ahead of the show’s highly anticipated return.
