Man Ends Up in ICU After Overdoing Workouts—Urine Turned Dark as Soy Sauce!

A 30-year-old man in Ningbo, China, went from fitness enthusiast to ICU patient in just two weeks—after pushing his body way past its limits. What started as a regular workout routine ended with multi-organ damage, kidney failure, and blood test results hundreds of times above normal.

According to reports, the man was thrilled with his gains and decided to up the intensity: 10 kilometers of running, 100 push-ups, and 5,000 jump ropes—every single day for two weeks straight. But one day, his body finally gave out, leaving him weak, lethargic, and rushed to the hospital.

Doctors were shocked. One key indicator for rhabdomyolysis—a dangerous muscle breakdown condition—normally under 300, shot up to over 40,000. His urine turned dark as soy sauce, a classic sign that his kidneys were failing.

“Exercise is supposed to make you healthy, not destroy your body,” doctors warned. Sudden extreme workouts can cause rhabdomyolysis, uremia, and in severe cases, death. Warm up properly, listen to your body, and never push through extreme pain.

Experts stress: fitness isn’t a punishment for your looks. Start slow, stick to low-intensity workouts like brisk walking or yoga if you’re out of shape, and get a professional plan. Your gains shouldn’t come at the cost of your life.
