Police Hunt Nigerian Man After Alleged Restaurant Table-Smashing Incident In Kuala Lumpur

Police are tracking down a man believed to be a Nigerian national after he allegedly overturned several dining tables at a restaurant along Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur, in an incident that has since gone viral on social media.

Brickfields district police chief ACP Hoo Chan Hook said the incident occurred at about 1.56am on Monday, with the suspect believed to have been intoxicated at the time.

He said no injuries were reported, but the sudden outburst caused panic among customers, who fled the premises out of fear for their safety.

The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief causing damage, he added.

Police are continuing efforts to locate the suspect and assist in ongoing investigations.
